Mohsin Khawaja -Dreamscape Project

This is an example of what global warming can do to out earth, in the future. Being aware of things that we can do to prevent this comparative picture you see. I transformed the beautiful island picture to this "ugly", Dry, Dangerous, Drought.

"The rate of warming is increasing. The 20th century's last two decades were the hottest in 400 years and possibly the warmest for several millennia, according to a number of climate studies. And the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports that 11 of the past 12 years are among the dozen warmest since 1850." (National geographic)

In this picture, my obvious focal point is the water drop; which indicates that us people do not realize how important water is to us and when that day comes, when you crave water we will realize the importants of H2o. The man walking towards the plain, is to add a little natural touch to the image.

Humans average intake of water should be 8-ounce glasses of water a day.

  1. solid idea, very creative. maybe a little more of the original landscape could be shown through?

  2. I like your explanation for why you did this, but it would look better if maybe the added images were more clean looking.

  3. I like that you have a real passion behind this and how you went from island oasis to polluted looking desert. Your cactus and your lizards just sort of look placed there though, and if you want to represent more of a "dying planet" theme I would probably use a vulture, or crow, or raven and not a bald eagle.

  4. Excellent idea and well carried out. Perhaps some shadows would help those lizards feel more like they're part of the environment.

  5. I love the creativity and meaning behind your dreamscape. The only thing i don't like is how unreal everything looks, pictures should blend more into the background.

  6. I feel like everything is out of place. Maybe blend more and make everything look more real and put some more background in it.

  7. I love how you inverted the picture and made it into an desert scene, which is the complete obeset of how it began.

  8. Very good inspiration. I think the images of some of the animals could have been edited to look more natural in the image.

  9. Good concept. I like how your water drop stands out. I agree about editing the animals a little better.

  11. I really like that person walking around the desert...they are tiny but i just like it...especially the raindrop coming in to the mouth of the iguana...very interesting..the color of the background looks good...maybe add something really contradictory in it

  12. Very good idea and concept. The image definitely gives off an irritating feel as if you were in a desert. I think some of the images need to be blended better though.

  13. I like how you thouhgt of adding what would happen if we did experience global warming. Maybe it could of been a little lighter in color. But overall good job.

  14. Image is very interesting, but shadows would have definitely boosted this piece. If this image was taken a bit further i think your elements would fit a bit better.

  15. Great concept!!! A great imagery to help with Great concept!!! A great imagery to help with awareness. There seems to be some poor selection on the smaller lizards. I can see white on them. All objects should have shadows. The bald eagle is poorly selected too.

You have to comment on your classmates work- That is part of the grade.
