Surreal painting

For this weeks Surreal Painting assignment a choose a painting by Jacek Yerka. Jacek is a polish artist who was critized for his fasicnation of realism by his college instructors. He likes to focus on pre-war type of art. You can see this in this painting of his. The colors are bright, but not very bold. He uses relazing clors like yellow and white in his painting. It look like a kitchen or dinning room set in the middle of a medow, reflecting on the simple life of pre war-times. The light blue in the background makes it appear as if you are in a medow, but the window and ceiling gives it an inside type of look to it. The painting on the wall in the back ground look as if they are the same painting that we looking at, giving it a 3rd dimension type of feeling like it is never ending.
